Missionaries:
John Boudreaux-Campus Crusade for Christ
John leads the Crusade staff on the LSU campus as they trust God to turn lost students into Christ-centered laborers. His vision is to see Crusade's partnership with the Refuge enable his team to expose every student on campus with the opportunity to hear the Gospel or at least know a believing college student. He also wants to see LSU become a sending campus for our region and the world - particularly to campuses with whom Crusade has a partnership.
Sam and Carrie Clark-The Navigators
The Clarks have been with the Navigators in Latin America since 1959. Their vision is the multiplication of disciples and laborers for the Kingdom of our Lord. Their ministry is centered mainly in homes or neutral places because of a very strong anti-Protestant bias in Latin America. Their work involves discipling and teaching disciple-making to both church-oriented people and secularized people. They are also using the Internet for a wider influence to teach the Bible and give counsel when invited. They are very involved in evangelism. Though officially retired from the Navigators, they continue to work with "Navworks" in Latin America when they have the opportunity. Their home for the last nine years has been San Luis Potosi in the central part of Mexico.
Ali Enos-Campus Crusade for Christ
Ali serves as the Associate Campus Director at LSU and is responsible for co-leading the staff team, training and developing the staff women, and evangelism and discipleship among LSU students. Her mission statement is trusting God to turn lost students into Christ-centered laborers.
Robin & Marva Farnsworth-Wycliffe
After completing the translation of God's Word into the language of the Manambu people of Papua New Guinea, Robin and Marva continued serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators in various countries including China and Indonesia. More recently, they returned to Papua New Guinea to participate in the revision of the Manambu New Testament. The Farnsworths officially retired in 2005 and live in Midlothian, Texas. However, Robin is still involved in finishing the revision of the Manambu New Testament, writing a companion Bible study course, and working with the International Translation Department developing materials to assist national translators.
Rie Greenfield-United Indian Missions
Rie Greenfield is technically retired from United Indian Mission, International, but continues to meet with the Native Fellowship (Carrier Tribe) in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. Rie was originally from the Netherlands and went into missions with multiple nursing credentials. She met John Greenfield while they were both in New Guinea with Unevangelized Fields Mission. After marriage they joined UIM, International, and served the Havasupai Tribe at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, the Carrier Tribe at Burns Lake in Canada, and with the Indian Bible College in Flagstaff, Arizona. John went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2001.
Don Horsley-The Navigators
Don and his family live in Kazakhstan and serve the Lord through campus ministry. Don's focus is on building laborers through the campus and in the communities of Kazakhstan in order to see these laborers in all areas of Central Asian society having a witness and impact for the Kingdom of God.
Bert and Debbie Oubre-Cutting Edge Foundation
The Oubres have been Chapel-supported missionaries since the early 1990s when, with the help of others from Baton Rouge, they started the Medical Centers of West Africa (MCWA) in Meskine, Cameroon. Having later left MCWA, Bert accepted a position as international medical director with Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) in 2001. In 2002 Bert, along with other believers, founded Cutting Edge Foundation (CEF) "with the goal of reaching the lost of sub-Saharan Africa for Christ through medical and non-medical projects". CEF is currently working on hospital projects in both Chad and Sudan.
